Meet Erin - A Massage Therapist at Buffalo Holistic Center

Erin has been practicing as a Licensed Massage Therapist for the past 24 years. She has a Bachelors of Science degree in Health & Human Services and Complimentary Science from SUNY Empire State College.

Her inspiration to become a Yoga Teacher, NYS Licensed Massage Therapist and Holistic Practitioner stemmed from realizing the impact movement and distance running (volleyball and cross country running in high school) had on her mental and physical health. She learned hands-on healing over the years from her own wounds and rehabilitation journey back to healing and running again. This quickly gave her insight into the beautiful response of her own inner physician. She experienced the effects of healing as a result of massage, movement, strength training and stretching without drugs or surgery at the early age of 15.

With training as a Certified Surgical Technologist, Erin has witnessed the acute traumatic onset of physical pain one endures as she has had opportunity to work with and help treat many trauma victims entering the operating room suites during clinical rotations and on the job training at Erie County Medical Center, Medina Hospital, Roswell Park and Mount Saint Mary’s Catholic Charity’s hospital systems in 2008-2011.

Her experiences have lead her to conclude that living a life free from stress, addictive behaviors, pharmaceuticals, unclean air, food and water pollutants, with an active environment of optimism and access to healthy exercise for a holistic lifestyle, will enhance the health of anyone suffering from anything.

As a Massage Therapist she has had had the opportunity to travel all around the USA and work with all walks of people and ages. It is with compassion and intuition that allows her work to be effective for each individual during a therapeutic Massage Session. Her technique will contour to the bodies natural innate rhythm. As an ancient Chinese proverb indicates during a healing session;

" It is with our Hands we see, our eyes we hear,

and our ears that change our flow for better

understanding of each one's needs....

I Also Believe in the famous and humble

words -

by Thomas A. Edison:

"The Doctor of the Future will give no medicine but

will interest his patients in the care of the human frame,

in diet, and in the cause and prevention of disease"
